E-Textiles
for sports and medical applications
ETS develops, tests, and produces smart textiles that perform reliably in real sports use. We guide ideas into series production with a structured approach: technology-agnostic development, tailored test scenarios, traceable documentation, and scalable manufacturing processes. Our focus is sports performance, physiotherapy, and rehabilitation — where comfort, signal quality, and durability determine success, acceptance, and ROI.
Why
ETS
· Faster from idea to reliable data: In-house prototyping, clear test plans, iterative loops — reducing time-to-data and enabling confident decisions.
· Textile technology with sports sense: Cut & sew, bonding, circular/flat knitting, ultrasonic welding — combined precisely for shirts, shorts, sleeves, or headbands in training and rehab.
· Scalable & compliant: Pre- and bulk production, centralized control, ISO 9001, ISO 13485, VDE, CIP — keeping quality and cost stable across the lifecycle.
· True partnership: With an entrepreneur mindset we understand timelines, cost awareness, and full commitment. We support where needed and push the boundaries of what’s possible.
Sport
& Medicine
We integrate EMG, ECG, EEG, and EMS/FES directly into textiles developed for your specific use case. EMG enables precise muscle analytics for rehabilitation and strength training. ECG/EEG support monitoring and recovery — extending into sleep. EMS/FES delivers targeted stimulation for activation, rehabilitation, and return-to-play. Every solution is optimized for real movement in terms of fit, contact zones, artifact robustness, and wash durability.
ETS
AI
AI — Advanced Integration stands for unique integration concepts and technologies that enable not only modern, seamless design options, but also new scaling and manufacturing technologies for e-textiles and smart textiles.
DEVELOPMENT
& COMPETENCE
At ETS, we combine over 25 years of experience in electronic textiles, conductive structures, and the integration of sensors and actuators. This know-how is based on proven developments from industrial projects and series transitions, and it feeds into new solutions at ETS for sport, rehab, and monitoring.
faq
How does a typical project run?
Evaluation (use case, measurement goal, wear zones) → in-house prototyping → tailored test scenarios → design freeze → pre-production → bulk production, supported by CIP.
Which technologies does ETS cover?
With cut & sew, bonding, circular/flat knitting, ultrasonic welding, laser cutting, 3D printing, and advanced textile integration, functions such as EMG, ECG, EEG, EMS/FES can be integrated into textiles; suitable electrode layouts, material stacks, and interfaces to electronics are defined project-specifically.
How does ETS ensure compliance?
If required, development- and manufacturing-accompanying documentation can be implemented according to ISO 9001 / ISO 13485, supported by VDE experience as well as eco-friendly & certified ethical production across the supply chain.
